S.M.A.R.T New Year Resolutions

About 40% of all Americans set New Year’s Resolutions each year, however sadly only about 8% actually achieve these goals. The top resolutions are related to health/diet. Set yourself up for success this year by setting S.M.A.R.T resolutions that you can achieve all year long. What does S.M.A.R.T stand for? S: Specific M: Measurable A: Achievable R: Realistic T: Time-based What makes a good S.M.A.R.T goal? Be specific and measurable. Use phrases like “swap 1 glass of juice with 1 whole piece of fruit” or “replace my usual white bread on my lunch sandwich with a whole grain option.” Pick goals you know are realistically achievable for you. Don’t set yourself up for failure. Pick something small you know you can achieve at first and then use that success to try another goal. Set a time frame: Put a deadline on yourself that you must achieve your goal by. How do I  set a S.M.A.R.T goal? Pick your goal/resolution: Try to eat more fruits and vegetables.
